Studios & Apartments Ithaca Greece

By making a reservation you declare full knowledge and unconditional acceptance of the accommodation, reservation, payment and cancellation policies of the “Val Di Compare” rental rooms. The terms and conditions described below apply to all reservations made electronically, via email or telephone reservation and the prices are in euros per room and night, including legal taxes and VAT.

ADVANCE PAYMENT AND PAYMENT POLICY

  • According to the current Regulation ("Regulation of hotelier-customer relations", decision G. G. EOT. No. 535813/79) of the Ministry of Tourism and Law 1652/86 (articles 8 and 9) for the validation of your reservation, a deposit equal to 25% of the total value of your stay must be paid, with a minimum deposit amount of the cost of one (1) night.
  • Initially, after the reservation request, you will be sent an SMS/Email with all the details of your reservation as well as the bank details (IBAN). Then, after the advance payment, you will receive a final reservation confirmation email.
  • The deposit must be made within three (3) business days of the notification of the accommodation's bank account to the interested customer via a relevant SMS / email message, which includes the necessary bank account details.
  • In case the deposit is not paid within the three (3) business days, the reservation is considered invalid and the rooms are now available for rent. A copy of the deposit receipt (deposit slip) must be sent to “Val Di Compare” (via Email, SMS or Viber) no later than four (4) days from the reservation request.
  • Payments are made by cash, bank transfers as well as credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard. You also give guests the opportunity to pay electronically with the payment method of their choice.
  • Upon your arrival, identification, confirmation of the reservation and full payment of any outstanding amount regarding the value of your stay will be carried out. Upon full payment of the value of your stay, a receipt will be issued. In case you wish to be issued an invoice, please inform us during your reservation.
Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION, AMENDMENT AND NO-ARRIVAL POLICY

  • According to the applicable legislation ("Regulation of hotelier-customer relations", decision of the General Council of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization no. 535813/79, Law 1652/86), in case the visitor decides to depart earlier than the agreed period, then compensation is provided for early departure, which is equal to 50% of the daily room rate for the number of nights cancelled.
  • The deposit is not refundable if the cancellation is made less than 14 days (at least 30 days for group bookings) before the scheduled arrival or in case of no-show.
  • Please inform our accommodation in a timely manner by written or telephone communication of any changes or cancellations. We are always willing to show understanding.

In case of cancellation, the “Val Di Compare” policy is as follows:

  • For cancellations at least 21 days before arrival, there is no financial charge and the full amount of the deposit will be refunded.
  • In case of cancellation of the reservation less than 21 days before the scheduled arrival, the guest is charged 50% of the total stay based on the room type chosen.
  • No cancellation fees are charged for reservations canceled within 24 hours after booking.
  • For cancellation upon arrival, during the stay or for no show at the accommodation, the guest is charged 100% of the stay based on the room type chosen.
  • “Val Di Compare” reserves the right to charge 100% of the reservation in case of no show.
  • The refund is made by transfer to the customer's account.

GUEST INFORMATION

  • Check-in from 15:00 to 20:00
  • Check-out from 07:30 to 11:00
  • Key collection is done via contactless check-in (self check-in), after a relevant SMS with check-in instructions has been sent.
  • The room must be vacated by 11 am, on the day of departure. Please inform us if you wish to keep your room beyond this time, but please understand that this depends on our availability. If the room has already been booked by another guest, you must vacate the room by 11 am, so that the room is ready for the next guest.
  • In case of a stay beyond the above-mentioned departure time and until 18:00, subject to availability, the visitor must pay 50% of the value of the daily stay, while for a stay beyond 18:00, the entire value of that day's stay is required to be charged, in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • Overnight stays of more people than the pre-agreed number of people per room are not permitted.
  • There is entrance hours/closing time.
  • “Val Di Compare” does not bear any responsibility in the event that it cannot fulfill its obligations to the visitor, in whole or in part, due to cases of force majeure (indicatively strikes, floods, natural disasters).
  • Each visitor is responsible, throughout his stay at the accommodation, for keeping his personal belongings (valuables, money, etc.) in a safe place. In the event of loss of items that have not been declared upon arrival, the management and staff of “Val Di Compare” bear no responsibility.

CHILDREN AND EXTRA BED POLICY

  • Children are allowed regardless of age.
  • Children 12 years and older are considered adults.
  • Children up to 2 years old stay free of charge when using an available baby cot.
  • A baby cot is available at no extra charge and upon request.
  • All children staying at our hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• No extra beds are available.

GUEST CONDUCT

  • Guests are requested to respect the quiet hours, to behave decently and to respect other residents and the accommodation staff.

The hours of midday and nighttime quiet are determined during the summer period from: 15.00 to 17.30 (midday) - 23.00 to 07.00 (night).

  • Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms, it is only allowed in the outdoor areas.
  • Parties and events are not allowed.
  • Only the guest/guests who have been registered as beneficiaries when booking the room have the right to use the room.
  • In the event of damage to the room or its wider area, due to intent or negligence, “Val Di Compare” reserves the right to charge the amount of the damage suffered, including damage due to interruption of its activities, to the registered customer’s credit/debit card. In the event that the customer has not paid by credit/debit card but in cash or in another way, “Val Di Compare” will require the immediate payment of the amount of the damage suffered by the customer, otherwise it reserves all its legal rights.
  • All tenants must comply with the accommodation regulations, while “Val Di Compare” reserves the right to refuse access or to evict, without prejudice, any person whose behavior is considered to be delinquent, abusive or reprehensible. In this case, “Val Di Compare” is not obliged to pay any compensation.

PET POLICY

Small dogs (up to 10kg) are allowed upon prior arrangement, provided that:

  • A carrier and relevant certificate or pet passport are provided.
  • It is forbidden to leave your pet unattended in the room.
  • During cleaning or maintenance of the room, your pet must remain in its carrier.
  • The Owner is responsible for any damage or destruction caused by the pet. The reimbursement of damages caused by the pet must be paid immediately and before the guest's departure.
  • The pet must be moved in the common areas only on a leash.
  • “Val Di Compare” bears no responsibility for any physical harm caused by a pet attacking other guests.
  • “Val Di Compare” reserves the right to terminate the stay of guests with pets that cause any disturbance or damage to other guests.

ACCESSIBILITY

  • Please note that there is no elevator at our property. All rooms are accessible by stairs only.

  • The property has a parking space.
